"Z32" is the name of one of the 300 files stored with Shovrim Shtika, an Israeli organization which collects statements by soldiers who served on the occupied territories as of 2000, the year of the Second Intifada. The Z32 file describes a revenge operation where two Palestinians were killed by Israeli soldiers. The director finds one of these soldiers but shooting the documentary entails overcoming a number of challenges, the first of which consisted in the soldier not allowing the camera to capture his face. Eventually, he questions the moviemaker's methods who encourages the soldier to film himself in his private life. Finally, the soldier's grilfriend, a pacifist with whom he engages in fierce quarrels, steps into the scene. Her appearance sets the stage for a discussion about the legitimacy of war, the boundaries of relationships and the differences between the sexes.
