Since 1992, one year after apartheid fell, a group of women have become the spokespersons of children victims of sexual abuse in South Africa. These women are active members of Bobbi Bear, a Durban non-profit organization, and struggle to get the perpetrators of those crimes brought to justice. Longinotto's documentary follows the lives of five women - Mildred, Sdudla, Thuli, Eureka and Jackie - in their daily battle for the defense and protection of vulnerable children. They do not allow any social, racial or political difference to interfere in anyway in their mission.
