Several people of different sexes, and from different professions and social backgrounds, share their personal account of a borderline situation. Depression, torture, illness, abandonment, racism, prison, violence, and different tragedies have crossed the way of these people, who have survived to tell how these visceral experiences affected them and the ways they found to survive them. Each account illustrates how human beings can find their own inward possibilites of redemption and self-reinvention.
