In 2006, the Dutchman Manuel “Grubby” Schenkhuzer and the Chinese Sky were kings of Warcraft, a video game that is said to have 10 million fans around the world and is regarded as a very cerebral game by many specialists. The film follows the final round of a tournament between Grubby and Sky, two young men with completely different lives - Grubby is a middle class European and Sky is a poor Chinese who ran away from home to pursue his passion -, and shows how in some countries a video game player can reach professional status. Sponsors compete for the right to host world tournaments, which are followed by eager audiences that pack arenas and can´t take their eyes off the big screens showing matches that go on for days. These fans don´t want to miss a single beat from these thrilling cyber combats.
