The Brazilian veteran filmmaker Domingos de Oliveira has written more than 20 stage plays and made 13 films, from "Todas as Mulheres do Mundo" (1966) to his latest "Juventude" (2008). At 72, Domingos enjoys life as if he were a boy at play. "I am not 70, I am 7", he likes to joke. A restless artist who defies labels and won´t stop writing or coming up with new ideas, Domingos goes through life living his daily routine, where love and freedom are essential ingredients. In this documentary, he talks about the filmmakers who have most influenced him in his work - Truffaut, Godard, Chaplin and Fellini -, and while rehearsing a new play he ponders on the state of the world, the Brazilian Cinema Novo, the left wing and hippy movements, and his denial of death. And Domingos won´t hide even his own self-criticism: "My work is mediocre, but my view of the world is beautiful."
