The director Mikala Krogh traveled around the world visiting vastly different countries such as Denmark, Thailand, USA, Japan, and Mozambique to investigate to what extent human reactions to the same situations are similar. Do we all share the same feeling of happiness, pain and anger? Do we love and hate with the same intensity? Does a young woman suffering from breast cancer feel the same anguish as would a family that lost all their possessions in a flood in Mozambique? Does a person working under subhuman conditions in Dubai experience the same tension as a US soldier leaving for Iraq? Are our values, dreams and expectations actually just the reflex of individual conditions of each life resulting from different social, cultural and economic contexts?
