To lift the veil of silence and prejudice involving schizophrenia, bipolar illness, panic syndrome and other mental disorders is the focus of this observation documentary. By avoiding narration, headings and music, director Kazuhiro Soda seeks to introduce viewers with the least interference to the everyday routine of Japan's Chorale Okayama mental health clinic. In doing so, Soda provides a direct look at the therapeutical efforts made by both patients and doctors in their attempt to find relief for mental disorders that have affected all cultures and countries over time. As the director and his wife have experienced mental illness themselves, his intention is also to remind people that anyone, at some time in their life, can become a victim of these disorders.
