Using one of the last interviews given by Paraíba-born economist Celso Furtado (1920-2004), this documentary provides an overall view of his ideas and of his participation in several projects developed in Brazil since the 40’s. With statements of intellectuals and upheld on historical images, a panorama of the country’s recent history is built up, as well as a revaluation of countless positionings regarding the development and overcoming of difficulties, yet to be achieved.
