In this showcase we present eight documentaries that have won awards in 2006 at the best French documentary film festivals. With highly praised films, the showcase is a ticket to discovering the extraordinary richness of creation present in contemporary docs. And it also allows us to acclaim the incredible work accomplished by the major French festivals – FIPA-Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuels, Cinéma du Réel, FidMarseille e Etats Généraux du Documentaire de Lussas –, which, in their different formats, record the great history of documentary film.
