With no dialogues or narration, based only in sounds captured in loco, the film explores a vigorous array of daily activities in this big Japanese coastal city, seriously ruined by an earthquake in January 1995. The images show firefighter’s training procedures, customers having fun at a karaoke place, the devotion of the faithful at a Buddhist temple and the hectic work at a fish factory.
