The Barcelona beach in winter is far from being a deserted place. In spite of the cold water and the cutting wind, some attendees cannot do without meeting the sea. Paulina, a 76-year-old former Cuban singer, goes for a swim every single day, singing boleros in the water and leaving the cane she can’t walk without on land. Joseph, 88, is a runner. Antonio, nearly 80, takes great care on the creation of a cardboard chair by the rocks, from where he has a unique view of the ocean.
