A patient of Mental Hospital Juliano Moreira, in Rio de Janeiro, for 30 years, where she was contemporary of artist Artur Bispo do Rosário, Stela do Patrocínio (1941-1992) used to express herself in a peculiar, highly poetical way of talking. A trainee at the institution, Carla Guagliardi recorded several of her interventions which, years later, would be published in a book and inspire a stage play.
