Mr. Vig, an 82-year-old hermit, decides do donate to the Russian Orthodox Church the huge and run-down castle he bought and where he’s lived for over 30 years. A loner who never experienced love, he now faces day to day life with a vigorous group of nuns, who moves about between intense praying and assessing the renovation works needed for establishing a monastery. The encounter of such different realities installs elements of tension in a previously unaffected atmosphere.
