Shot in five Brazilian Northern and Northeastern states, this documentary rebuilds the historical journey of development model set off in the 70’s, during the military rule. With great stress on big projects and on roads tearing up Amazon, a migration process was accelerated, resulting in the present situation of armed conflicts, slave labor, devastation of forests, struggle for land and murders, like those of landless laborers in Eldorado dos Carajás and of US missionary Dorothy Stang.
