A portrait of the daily life of the remaining population from an old slave community in Santana do Sabugi, on Serra do Talhado, state of Paraíba. Over 70 years after the end of slavery, the population remains apart from the social and economic life of the country, surviving on pottery-making sold in the nearby street markets. Music reinforces the stagnation of life. A film had as the introducer of Cinema Novo.
