By means of a creative collage of news footage, homemade videos and archive materials, the film recovers the collective memory of female behavioral changes in 60's and 70's Italy and explores the effects of these transformations on the life of Italian women today. In a country where in 1960, women were legally likened to children and there was no divorce, and until 1996 rape was a crime against the moral rather than against the individual, the film seeks to examine through testimonials the new female identity. Different views on topics as diverse as orgasm, house chores, and the dilemmas of personal and professional choices emerge from this focus.
