Founded in 1953 and boasting 370 rooms and a huge swimming-pool, the Grande Hotel was the architectural pride of the city of Beira, Mozambique. Poorly managed, the hotel was closed down ten years later and gradually became a ruin. Two former employees revisit the site where the hotel once stood. Today, the derelict building serves as a shelter for nearly 3,500 homeless people.
