The film captures the intimacy of Brazilian singer and composer Caetano Veloso during his tours of the USA and Japan. Standing in front of the camera, he gets ready in the backstage before his performances and admits certain feelings of insecurity - such as when he regrets his supposed English speaking mistakes in a local radio interview. Strolling through the streets of New York and Osaka, he fires off comments about his school education, polemizes with Brazilian percussionist Hermeto Paschoal from a distance and meets foreign fans who can croon out some of Veloso's tunes. Many of his friends and admirers are interviewed, such as Pedro Almodóvar, who invited him for a scene in his film "Talk to Her", David Byrne and Michelangelo Antonioni, for whom Veloso wrote a song soon before the Italian director died in July 2007.
