As a rape victim, a 13-year girl is waiting in hospital for the procedures of a legal, authorized abortion. A six-month pregnant woman agrees to stop her pregnancy on medical advice, after her exams showed an irreversible defect of the fetus. Also victims of rape, other women, among them a mother of three, wrestle with their religious dilemmas fearing God's punishment if they undergo an abortion. A house maid who took abortion-inducing drugs is brought to a hospital with profuse hemorrhage. She was reported and handcuffed in bed, and now faces charges. These borderline situations behind the maternity of generally poor women reveal their loneliness and the extreme aspects of their condition.
