Héctor Salgado was 16 when general Augusto Pinochet staged a coup d'etat in Chile in 1973. Living in Tomé, he led resistance against Pinochet's dictatorship along with his family and friends. Though underage, he was arrested by the Navy, subjected to torture and spent three years in prison. He then lived as an exile in the US, got married and became a musician. More than 30 years later, Salgado returns to Chile to investigate the circumstances of the most dramatic period in his life. With a camera in hand, he decides to personally confront his former captors and those responsible for the charges at Tomé by questioning them on the execution by a firing squad of two of his friends.
