The mainstay topic of many science fiction films, the co-existence of robots and humans is today a reality. At several elderly homes in Germany, Italy and Denmark, some residents have a new and unusual company in their bedrooms - Paro, a small Japanese robot, who was developed to stimulate our need for bodily and emotional contact through its various sensors.
