A cinema student in Bagdad, 25-year-old Muthana Mohmed was interviewed by MTV describing how the bombing of his school had hindered his future. One of the people watching the interview was the American actor and director Liev Schreiber, who was shooting "Everything Is Illuminated" in Prague at that time. Moved by Mohmed's story, Schreiber invited the youth to work with him in the Czech Republic as production assistant to his film. Showing humility at first and a willingness to be taught everything he could learn, it gradually becomes clear that Mohmed is not telling the whole truth about him, and seems to have a hidden agenda to profit professionally.
