The 2002 Peace Nobel Prize winner and former US president, Jimmy Carter, is far from thinking of retirement. At 83, he works tirelessly for peaceful conflict resolution especially in the Middle East. The US director Jonathan Demme, who won an Oscar for "Silence of the Lambs", follows this former Georgia farmer through the launch of his book "“Palestine Peace Not Apartheid”. The man who, in his government, negotiated the armistice between Israel and Egypt, an agreement which still remains in force, never gives up hope for a definitive solution for the tragic conflict between the Jewish and Palestinian people. With the same simplicity he carries his own luggage and reads the Bible daily, Carter tries to find a common denominator for peace.
