BNDES considers culture an important lever for the sustainable development of Brazil. From the economic point of view as well as the social aspect, the economy of culture is a strategic and dynamic sector: their diverse activities generate work, jobs and revenue, favoring valuable opportunities of social inclusion.

We know, however, that in addition to these aspects, culture is the instrument with which society analyzes and reinvents its way of being and of thinking. And Brazilian non-fiction production has made important contributions to this process.

The increase of this production is largely due to the stimulus that It's All True provides for the creation and fruition of the Brazilian documentary. Therefore, this year BNDES expands its sponsorship of the festival, enabling the realization of debates and a program of films at the bank's auditorium in Rio de Janeiro.

Reaffirming our commitment to the continuity of this event, we show our desire for this segment to occupy an increasingly important space in the film scene, contributing to the strengthening of the sector and for Brazil to be more deeply understood by Brazilians.
