 Kapo Dan Setton e Tor Ben-Mayor Israel, 55 min, cor, vídeo, 1999 A palavra "Kapo" em italiano significa chefe ou líder. Na Segunda Guerra Mundial era usada para os judeus aos quais os alemães designavam tarefas especiais nos guetos e campos de concentração. Nos guetos atuavam no conselho e polícia judaicos, e nos campos como comandantes, chefes de alojamentos, e nos crematórios. The word "kapo" is Italian and means head or leader. In World War II it was used for Jews who were given special assignments by the German occupiers in the ghettos and concentration camps. In the ghettos in Poland, a Jewish council and a Jewish police force were set up. In the camps, Jews were appointed as camp commanders, barraks heads or workers at the crematoria.
