In 2008, the year of presidential elections in Zimbabwe, farmer Mike Campbell makes a daring decision: he brings a lawsuit to the international court of the SADC (Southern African Development Community) accusing Robert Mugabe, the president who has ruled with an iron hand for 30 years, of racism and violating human rights. One of the few white property owners who stayed in the country, Campbell resisted an agrarian reform marked by expropriations and intimidations, which started in 2000 and brought the domestic economy to a collapse. Defending his farm, Campbell intends to exercise his right to stay in a country that is also his.
