Now that it has reached its 15th year, It’s All True
has not only consolidated itself among the audiovisual
events of our country, but it has confirmed its
importance as a space specifically dedicated to a
form of expression - the documentary. This is especially
important: it is no exaggeration to affirm that
It’s All True is one of the principal spaces dedicated
to documentaries in Brazil and today it is recognized
far beyond our borders.
Each year, the event brings work to the public that
stands out as the most relevant of our documentary
filmmakers’ productions in film and video, and also
from notable producers of the genre’s international
panorama. This way, the festival does not only see
its audience increase each year - incontestable
proof that it contributes to strengthening interest in
documentaries, principally among young audiences
- but it also favors the exchange of experiences
and ideas among Brazilian and foreign documentary
filmmakers.
Once again, Petrobras sponsors It’s All True, thus
reaffirming its commitment as the principal audiovisual
partner of our country. This commitment
does not just refer to the production of films and
videos, but also to promoting the diffusion of our
filmmakers’ work and the formation of new audiences,
therefore increasing the audience for Brazilian
filmmaking.

work, through a process of grant programs in
