A little after his wife’s death, Janina — author of the celebrated book “Winter in the Morning” — the Polish sociologist Zygmunt Bauman, one of the most consistent critics of the values of post-modernity, reviews his life and work. The author of books like “Modernity and The Holocaust” and “Globalization: The Human Consequences” talks about his ideas regarding the society of consumption, love and ethics, as well as crucial moments of his life from his birth in Poznan in 1925 to abandoning Poland in 1968, after the communist regime censured his articles and books, which led him to move to Israel and then England.
