In the rural neighborhood of Graminha, 45km from Marília (SP), the fates of six families of Japanese immigrants crossed paths between 1927 and 1934. Following the memories of three generations of these families, the different experiences of each person fits together in a mosaic of integrating to Brazilian culture, the return of some family members to their country of origin, forming an identity in this new environment, merging mentalities, dealing with the past and projecting this community’s contributions in the Brazilian and São Paulo reality.
