Suffering a progressive deterioration of memory, Gustavo Proto, age 58, abandons his business to dedicate most of his time to tests to determine if he suffers from Alzheimer’s, which afflicted his mother. A Chilean immigrant living in Canada, he decides to return to his birth country, where he finds comfort in horse riding. While he waits for the results of the tests, he proceeds with the preparations for his death, announcing to his family that he will commit suicide if the Alzheimer’s diagnosis is positive.
