Very few visitors come to Ilha do Corvo, part of the archipelago of the Azores. In little white houses on volcanic slopes, close to 440 people live in a little village. Almost all food comes from outside in irregular transport conditions, depending on the instability of metereological conditions. Filmmaker Gonçalo Tocha and his team settle down in this small community that has an almost 500-year history. Little by little, they are assimilated with the locals and take on the task of registering every rock, every bird, every person in this closed-off, self-sufficient and almost unknown micro-world.
