A group of friends testifies about the first protests at Tahrir Plaza in Cairo for the removal of dictator Hosni Mubarak, who had been in power for 30 years. Among them are the directors of this film, the Egyptian Karim El Hakim and Danish of Palestinian origin Omar Shargawi, who take to the streets to follow the climate of revolution and the protests for more liberty. With rising violence (as much from the police as armed pro-Mubarak gangs), Karim’s apartment transforms into a shelter for friends and neighbors. As the months pass, there is a growing sensation that the so-called “25th of January Revolution”, which removed Mubarak from power in 2011, did not achieve many of the hopes invested in it.
