In 1958, Fundação Brasil Central trusted the frontiersmen and brothers Villas Boas with the task of marking the geographical center of Brazil - an undertaking attempted at the beginning of the 20th Century by marshal Cândido Rondon but blocked by the Xavantes Indians who inhabited the region in Mato Grosso State, which is now part of the Xingu National Park, created in 1961. Fifty years later, three participants from the original expedition, Sérgio Vahia de Abreu, documentary filmmaker Adrian Cowell and chief Raoni, this time with modern technology like nautical maps and GPS, retrace the same path, revisiting villages, re-encountering people and noting the dramatic evolution of the situation of the indigenous people during this period.
