Of the extensive documentary records of Brasília made by Italian cameraman and producer Dino Cazzola, based in Brazil since the end of the Second World War and in the new federal capital since its founding in 1960, an archive of only around 300 hours has been preserved. Through a reinterpretation of these images supported by several testimonies, the documentary revisits Brasília’s process of consolidation, enabling a different gaze on political actions and the use of imagery by civil and military governments, as well as the consequent materialization of a social model.
