Investigating the frontiers and relationships between the performatic act and the photographic act, a visual narrative is produced in the form of a video-essay. Tania Bruguera from Cuba, Gary Hill from the US, Pipilotti Rist from Switzerland, Esther Ferrer from Spain, Paula Garcia from Brazil, the French collective Calvacreation, Ghazel from Iran, Rebecca Horn from Germany and Cripta Djan from Brazil participate in the film. In interviews they reveal the reasons, strategies and consequences of targeting themselves - with a camera or even with a weapon.
