MUCH HAS CHANGED from the first edition of It's All
True to this year of 2012. The popularization of the technical
means of production impacts audiovisual production
every day, enormously increasing the creation of non-fictional
work around the world. In Brazil, from '96 to now,
the production of documentaries has grown in a significant
way and the genre is increasingly more seen and appreciated
by the public.
Once more, It's All True comes surrounded with expectations.
In this 17th edition, there are close to 80 never
before seen productions in the country, of 30 nationalities,
distributed in competitive, informative, and special
programs. This year there is even space for debates and
the new edition of the International Documentary Conference.
Among the several screening venues in Rio is Oi
Futuro in Ipanema.
Oi believes in the importance of democratizing access to
art and has systematically invested in film festivals in several
regions of the country through Programa Oi de Patrocínios
Culturais Incentivados.
Have a great festival.
Oi
