Coutinho stands out for having created his own philosophical system, as well as for spreading the use of the solipsism in Brazil. The documentary was shot in Recife, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro, from May to August 2000, and includes interviews with Marilena Chauí, Luiz Costa Lima, Jacó Guinsburg, Benedito Nunes, Paulo Cunha, Ângelo Monteiro, and of the main character.
