Extra Activities International Conference April, 4-7 "Documentary Trends and Perspectives"< It´s All True MinC Seminars The seminars are held at the same time as the retrospectives of It's All True - 6th International Documentary Film Festival. The International Retrospective is dedicated to the master of American "direct cinema", Frederick Wiseman. During his first visit to Brazil, Wiseman will accompany the showing of his films in Rio de Janeiro and in São Paulo, and will take part in discussions and lectures regarding the contemporary nature of his work and its possible connecting points with contemporary Brazilian documentaries. The Brazilian Retrospective celebrates the work of Bahian director Geraldo Sarno. The Sarno seminar will focus on two showing cycleSOUND: a retrospective with six of his main productions and the launching of the series "The Language of the Cinema", with eight episodes given to the discussion of the creative process of contemporary Brazilian filmmakers. The seminars are financed by the Audiovisual Department of the Ministry of Culture.
