Tribute to Johan van der Keuken Johan van der Keuken died on January 7, 2001, at 62 years of age, of prostate cancer. The illness that took him was also the motivation for his last work: the documentary "The Long Holiday", which one the award for the Best Film of the International Competition at the last "It's All True" Festival. This is a trip threaded with encounters of different people, societies and cultures and, at the same time, it is a poignant ode to life and a diary filmed by someone who knew how to live out his last days. The 6th International Documentary Festival is again showing the last work of one of the great contemporary documentary filmmakers, in worthy honor of an author bigger than life.
