The Day That Never Existed

TV CULTURA AND IT´S ALL TRUE PRESENTS:

AI-05: THE DAY THAT NEVER EXISTED

Paulo Markun

Brazil/SP
56', COLOR, VIDEO, 2001

A documentary produced by TV Cultura. It tells the story of the disappearance of the records of the legislative session of Brazil's National Congress, on December 12, 1968, which took place right after the enacting of Institutional Act no. 5 (AI-5) - a measure that marked the strengthening of the repressive tactics of the military dictatorship in Brazil. The documents only showed up in 1992, thanks to the work of a journalist from the State of Minas Gerais.
