The Brazilian People

THE BRAZILIAN PEOPLE

Directed by Isa Grinspum Ferraz

"The Brazilian People" is a series of ten episodes in which anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro (1922-1997) leads viewers along the paths of the formation of the Brazilian nation and its people. The programs tell their stories with images caught all over the country, materials from rare archives, interviews by Antônio Cândido, Luiz Melodia and Antônio Risério, among others, and with the special participation of Chico Buarque and Tom Zé. The 6th International Documentary Festival is showing two episodes from the series.
